I have also served as the Assistant Athletic Director at DeSoto High School for the last 7 years.� DeSoto Girls Track and Field teams have won the State Championship 9 times since 2007.� State runner-up 3 times. In 2019, the DeSoto girls broke the National Record in the 4x100m Relay with a time of 44.24.� That same year the girls scored 121 points to win the 6A State Championship. It was the most points ever scored by a girl or boys� team in Texas history at the State meet.� TX Mile split named DeSoto Girls �the best high school track and field team ever�.� Besides the 4x100m Relay national record, DeSoto girls also have the state records for 100m Hurdles (12.93) and 4x400m Relay (3:37.85).�� Honors - - In 2022 Inducted into the National Hall of Fame with the NHSACA, 20211st Female Coach of the Year of the Texas High School Coaches Association, 2019 USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year, 2018 Inducted into Texas Track and Field Coaches Association Hall of Fame, 2016 USTFCCCA Coach of the Year, � Texas 2013 National Coach of the Year by National High School Coaches Association.
